Frequently asked questions
How do you evaluate an exoskeleton before deploying it?
By testing it in real-world conditions with future users. We compare physical exertion and posture with and without the equipment, then gather feedback from operators regarding comfort and usability. This dual approach is what allows us to decide on a rollout.
Is an exoskeleton enough to prevent MSDs?
No. While an exoskeleton can reduce certain types of strain, it may also shift that strain elsewhere. It complements efforts to organize and improve workstations, which remain the priority, and its effectiveness must be verified on a case-by-case basis.
How are employees involved in the process?
Participation in the measurements is voluntary. Sensors are worn during normal work activities, and data is processed with the participants' consent, in accordance with GDPR. Employees are then involved in reviewing the findings and identifying solutions.
RATP feedback and insights
After nine months of collaboration, discover RATP's feedback on using MOTEN for projects integrating physical assistance devices (exoskeleton backpacks for mobile maintenance, active and passive exoskeletons, cobotic solutions, etc.).
A webinar presented by Paul Essig, President & CEO (MOTEN), with the participation of Nicolas Stuyvers, Innovation Program Manager (RATP) and Johanna Dian, Ergonomist – Innovation Project Manager (RATP).
